All the Places to Love by Patricia MacLachlan, Michael Wimmer (Illustrator)
This has got beautiful illustrations and a wonderful use of language.
I Love You the Purplest by Barbara M Joosse, Mary Whyte, Barbara Joosse
This is a favorite of Beth's, the language in this is also very imaginative.
The Birthday Doll by Jane Cutler, Hiroe Nakata (Illustrator)
I still don't quite undestand why Beth wanted me to read this to her over and over and over. It's about a little girl who recieves two dolls for her birthday. One that is new and sings "Ring around the Rosie" and one that is worn and soft and quiet.
Tell Me My Story, Mama by Deb Lund, Hiroe Nakata (Illustrator)
I love this story! And I just love the whimsical simplicity of Hiroe Nakata's illustrations.
Olivia by Ian Falconer (Illustrator)
This is so much fun to read! The illustrations are black, white & red and the story is very understated.
Baby Dance by Ann Taylor, Marjorie van Heerden (Illustrator)
This is a board book that Katie-Abigail loves. The rythm to the words and the bright illustrations helped to calm her down when she was fussy.
Daddy’s Lullaby by Tony Bradman, Jason Cockcroft (Illustrator)
I love this one from start to end! Wonderful illustrations, sweet story, well written.
Laura Charlotte
by Kathryn O. Galbraith
This is one that we all love. We read this story every day whenever we have it from the Library.
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak (Illustrator)
Got to love this classic!
Big Sister, Little Sister by LeUyen Pham
This is really appealing to my little sister-girls
I Loved You Before You Were Born by Anne Bowen, Greg Shed (Illustrator)
This is somewhat boring but also very loving.
Flood Fish
Well written but doesn't have much of a point. We get it at the Library for the illustrations.
Mama Loves
Baby Duck books
Little Bear books
Easy to read. Sweet characters.
Amanda Pig books
I just love the characters in the Amanda Pig stories. They are all about Mother, Father, Oliver & Amanda. They display good attitudes, which I really like.
Angelina Ballerina
I especially like "Angelina and the Ice Skates" & Angelina and the Princess"

Longer childrens books I've enjoyed
The Ordinary Princess
Mom read this to us and we couldn't put it down!
The Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
I've read this over and over
Little Susy Stories by Elizabeth Prentiss
Very good morals to these stories.
