I'm so glad to be "Mommy"

I had such a wonderful day today!! I played with my girls outside and took a bunch of photos. Here is one of a lady bug - I got some more great ones of this same lady bug crawling on Beth. She loves bugs and names every one she sees...
Then I found some wild strawberries for Emma, which she loved! She keeps calling them "raspberries" though. Today I picked an especially big one for her (Daniel tought them not to eat them - I don't know if I should be happy about that or not) and she told me all about how if the Baby Big Hungry Bear came for her Big Red Ripe Strawberry she would give it to him :-) how cute!

I admired all of the wonderful flowers growing in our yard... Then we went to the back where our landlord keeps his livestock. He's regularly buying and selling various kinds of fowel, goats and ponies. The most recent addition to his little farm is "Jack-Jack" (who is probably a filly for all I know, but Beth named it!) We've been working on naming the goats - like I said Beth names every bug and animal she sees, even if they're already dead! - The big black one is Abraham. We've been going back there every so often and they've started getting used to us - and the dog - and now we've started giving them little bits of clover and grass. Today, for the first time ever Beth fed one of the goats, Abraham, a little bit of grass. So cool!! Maybe eventually they'll let us pet them, we'll see.
Anyway, I sat down to wax eloquent on the topic of motherhood but while I was waiting for these photos to load I clicked over to the GirlTalk blog and discovered that they've got that one more than covered. So click over to the GirlTalk blog and don't forget to check out this week's Friday Funnies! Well I had photos of the girls with the goats but they won't load tonight so... good night!!
