My first post

For my first post I thought I would do this, which I copied from Crystal Paine's website: from December 13th
A couple of the answers are the same as hers!!

Seven things I hope to do before I die:

  1. Go to Africa...
  2. See my husband fulfill his calling and be ordained as a pastor.
  3. Raise Godly children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord and to teach them to find their joy in God alone! To be passionate and purposeful in their lives and raising up godly children of their own. (That's not really just one is it - sorry!)
  4. Learn to think before I speak.
  5. Read through the Bible in a year.
  6. Write (and publish!) a book.
  7. Witness miracle.

Seven things I cannot do:

  1. Exercise regularly.
  2. Follow a recipe precisely.
  3. Only do one thing at a time.
  4. Only start one project and finish it
  5. Do everything I want to do in a day.
  6. Resist chocolate or coffee (all of the above are copied from Crystal's list - I am so glad that I am not the only one!!)
  7. Keep to a routine

Seven things that attract me to my husband:

  1. His passionate pursuit after godliness - whatever the cost.
  2. His unquestionable devotion to ME and our girls!
  3. His devotion to what is left of his family - mom, sister & brother.
  4. The way he is so strong - he has strong opinions, a strong will and a strong personality, but also enormously gentle and compassionate.
  5. His pastor's heart full of compassionate wisdom. I am constantly amazed.
  6. His willingness to get up in the morning with our girls to let me have another 10 minutes (or more!) to snooze. MY HERO!!!
  7. His sexy bod. (I just had to put that one in!)

Seven things I say often:

  1. Are you hungry?
  2. What do want for dinner? (Hubby hates that question!!)
  3. NO!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Are you using your honoring voice?
  5. Well...
  6. Can I have a kiss?
  7. Dude!

Seven authors, books or series I love:

  1. Beth Moore "Praying God's Word"
  2. C.J. Mahaney "The Cross Centered Life"
  3. Elizabeth Payson Prentiss "Aunt Jane's Hero"
  4. Elizabeth George - everythin! But especially "A Woman After God's Own Heart" and I also really like her book on Titus 2 called "A Woman's High Calling".
  5. Elyse Fitzpatrick
  6. John Piper
  7. Cheryl Mendelson "Home Comforts"
  8. Joanne Weaver "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" (this list could go on and on!!!!)

Seven movies I watch over and over again:

  1. Kipper
  2. VeggieTales
  3. Anything made for preschoolers (notice a pattern?)
  4. A&E's Pride & Prejudice
  5. A&E's Emma
  6. Sense & Sensability (with Emma Thompson & Kate Winslet)
  7. You've Got Mail or anything equally romantic

Well... that's all for now. Feel free to copy this on your own blog and leave me a comment with your link!!

I'm really not so industrious - just an interenet junkie! I love "playing around" on the computer - especially visual/design related stuff. This has been particularly challenging but hugely rewarding in a highly personal way...
Thanks so much for your faithfulness to check my blogs!! :-)
